Author's word
I composed Calligraphy for harp and piano, a suite consisting of six short contrasting movements for the young talented harpist Vanda Šabaková and Luděk Šabaka, the father of this artist and an excellent pianist in one person. The piece was created on the occasion of their concert tour in Japan, so I found inspiration for this song in the art of Japanese calligraphy. This is reflected in the musical fabric and the title of the composition. The premiere took place in 2019 at my author's evening.
